PatchDEADSHIFTv0.2.0

DEADSHIFT 0.2.0 Patch Notes

These notes cover the DEADSHIFT 0.2.0 update: new true bosses and equipment, Boss Rush, loadouts and skill presets, and changes to life steal and conditional effects.

  • You can continue existing saves in the new version.
  • Once you save in the new version, that progress can’t be opened in an older version.
  • Refresh the page after the update is available to play the new version.

New

Specimen rewards

  • Added reward thresholds at 600, 800, 1,050, 1,300 and 1,600 specimen points, with a reward overview in the town’s Specimen tab.
  • Added one extra ordinary drop roll at both 600 and 1,600 points.
  • Increased set and elemental core quantities at 800 points and normal and boss mercenary card quantities at 1,050 points.
  • Unlocked extra kill experience and credit rewards at 1,300 points.

True bosses, silver imprints and specimens

  • Added 11 true bosses across the subway, harbor, resort, alpine village and snowfield, with base levels of 165–265, dedicated attacks, mercenary skill trees and defeat achievements.
  • Added 11 silver imprints, bringing the total to 21. Equipping one in the silver slot summons that boss’s Mini-Me.
  • Added imprint effects for shield breaks, armor bypass, status immunity breaks, reduced HP reservation and sustained skills.
  • Added 11 true-boss specimens worth 50 risk points each. Their effects grant boss attacks to elite infected or trigger ice-needle volleys and ground blades when infected die.

Prototype armor

  • Added 5 sets built around movement and dashes, shield breaks, dodging attack warnings, companion kills and elemental buildup.
  • Each set has a mask, chest piece, pack and boots, with effects unlocked by the number of pieces equipped.
  • Craft a chosen piece with a set blueprint and materials from the corresponding true boss. Success chance: 70%.
  • Each piece has one set-core socket and one elemental-core socket, both accepting tier-7 cores.

Boss Rush

  • Unlocked after your third rebirth. Enter through world-map transport and leave with Return.
  • Select bosses you’ve defeated at least once. Normal bosses appear first, then true bosses.
  • Shared summon cooldowns with the original boss rooms. Bosses on cooldown remain selected but are skipped for that rush.
  • Saved boss selections and added select-all, clear-selection, progress and next-boss displays.
  • Open boss selection with R or the on-screen button, including touch controls.

Loadouts and skill presets

  • Unlocked 3 free loadouts and 3 skill presets for Survivor and each profession after your first rebirth.
  • Loadouts store equipment, weapon sets and skills, consumable settings, profession and preset numbers, mercenaries and frame deployment settings.
  • Save outside combat and load in town. Missing equipment is skipped; changed equipment is marked before loading.
  • Loadouts reference preset numbers. Editing a preset also changes the loadouts that use it.
  • Loading stops if your inventory and warehouses can’t hold the equipment being replaced.
  • Added weapon-stat rarity-star conditions, excluded-option conditions and an item preview to Max’s filter.

Balance

Life steal on hit

  • Changed healing from damage dealt to a percentage of your own maximum HP. Combined life steal is capped at 3%.
  • Removed the cooldown. Only an original attack’s first valid hit heals; follow-up penetration, ricochet, return, split and explosion hits don’t heal repeatedly.
  • Adjusted healing per hit for rapid fire and shotgun pellets. Applied the same rules to mercenaries, frames and enemy monsters.

Professions, equipment and imprints

  • Adjusted reward and enemy-stat scaling above 430 specimen points and added previews when changing active specimens.
  • Rebalanced Mini-Me damage against single targets and groups.
  • Adjusted prototype armor set effects and added automatic attacks while Crossbar Lamellar’s stance is active.
  • Improved Lunar Petal Shroud’s overflow SP charging, automatic activation and target-centered attacks. Added increased damage taken and reduced attack power to affected enemies.
  • Consolidated Operator’s ordinary inheritance nodes from 16 to 8 and reorganized player damage, frame operation and shared survival paths.
  • Changed item-level increase costs to 1.25 times the average cost of enhancing to +25 at the target level. Removed additional costs based on previous item-level increases.
  • Increased base attack of 11 automatic shotguns by 40% and reduced RPM by 30%, rounded to integers. Also applied to generated weapons above level 110.
  • Doubled LS-93’s attack, set stability to 20% and changed its beam to sweep the ground toward your aim point.
  • Increased EH-96’s attack by 30%. Molten fragments trigger every second volley instead of every third and deal 150% of attack per fragment.
  • Removed BM-81’s bone-spear target limit and CH-115’s damage reduction on penetration.
  • Changed OG-95 from fire to poison clouds, with poison level 10.
  • Reworked TK-141 to accumulate up to 600 weapon hits over 15 seconds before a ground slam and fissure attack. Added hit-count and timer displays.
  • Increased the two-imprint movement resonance’s dash cooldown reduction from 4% to 8%. Its three-imprint effect now grants +20% movement speed and 10% less direct damage taken for 3 seconds after a dash.
  • Reduced wave resonance cooldown from 8 to 4 seconds and increased poison-spread targets from 1 to 2.
  • Raised regeneration resonance’s companion HP trigger from 30% to 40% and healing from 2% to 4% of maximum HP each second for 4 seconds.
  • Reduced HP reservation and sustained SP costs for several skills and improved conditional equipment effects.
  • Kept consecutive-hit bonuses per target for LI-125 and the focused-fire affix.
  • Made drop bonuses increase additional loot quantities and adjusted some bosses’ base rewards.

Interface and convenience

  • Automatically recruited Max after the first rebirth, including existing reborn characters.
  • Updated character and companion naming fields and sorted costumes by their source equipment’s level.
  • Expanded skill trees to use the full window. Hover for descriptions; click or tap to pin them.
  • Kept rank-up, rank-down and reset buttons visible. Removed skill-reset costs.
  • Refunded SP invested in Operator skills made unavailable by changed prerequisites.
  • Allowed active mercenaries to enter storage and kept revival timers running while stored.
  • Added condition searches, per-rule errors and preview results to Max’s filter editor.

Fixes

  • Fixed some new true-boss Mini-Me summons failing to appear or damage nearby enemies.
  • Fixed infinite investment and intermediate upgrades missing from the mercenary performance display.
  • Fixed several learned follow-up effects failing to trigger for mercenary attacks.
  • Corrected the projectile appearance and firing behavior of EH-96 and LO-81.
  • Fixed elemental-burst effects failing at shock and bleed stage 5.
  • Restored the cold-expiry explosion when the ice-breaking affix removes cold.
  • Counted HP actually paid through Blood Fuel toward the eclipse set’s gauge. Free casts no longer spend HP or fill the gauge.
